Roading Material

AP40:
This product is everything smaller than 40mm.
It is used for driveways and general fill.


Top 30:
This product goes over a screen so that it contains everything smaller than 30mm. Used on the cycle ways in the Richmond – Wakefield – Kohatu area and also council roads. It is difficult to spread and usually needs grading. For a while it will get muddy when wet but will pack down well. Good for steep driveways.


AP20:
This product goes over a screen so that is contains everything smaller than 20mm. Used for a final topping for driveways and paths or top layer in a house fill.


AP65 Spec:
This product goes over a screen so that is contains everything smaller than 65mm, it is specially formed for TDC requirements. Used for roading and subdivision work.


TOP 65:
This product is a cheaper version of AP65 Spec. It is used for roads, and general fill. It binds together well.


6/20:
This is used for final topping of driveways and paths. It is clean under foot and not as sharp as AP20. It contains no fine material less than about 6mm. It is more suited for level ground as it will corrugate on hills.


Drainage Material

20/40 Drainage:
This is used for septic drainage fields, behind retaining walls, muddy roads where a thin skim will provide traction, around farm sheds and also in cattle yards


30/60 and 40/90 Drainage
These are cheaper versions of 20/40 drainage. They are not as clean and are larger in diameter. They are used for farm and forestry roads, and skid sites which have heavy traffic. This is also used as a ground cover for landscaping.


50/150
This is for roadside swales and is sometimes used for gabion baskets.



Hardfill

Screened Hardfill:
This is used for house fill, road base and general fill. The screen has 200mm bars but some flat rocks will slip between the bars, so you will see some larger stones.


Hardfill:
This is used for road base, house foundation fill and general fill. It contains some larger rocks as large as a basketball.


Rock

Rock:
This is used for walls, river protection and landscaping



Other Materials

Crusher Dust:
This is great for topping for house floor slabs, under water tanks.


Lime:
Agricultural lime is a soil amendment product used to condition soil by raising pH levels. It is made from crushed limestone that contains natural elements to promote healthy plant growth. When lime is added to agricultural crops, it dissolves and releases a base that counteracts or neutralizes soil acidity.
Benefits of liming include increased nutrient availability, improved soil structure, and increased rates of infiltration.
